The Dec. 31 New Year’s Eve celebration in Times Square will feature two local bands, Hester Prynn will take stage from noon to 5 p.m. followed by High Tide from 7 p.m. to midnight and beyond.

The day will also feature a 20th Birthday presentation to be held at noon for the Town of Fort Myers Beach, with a variety of officials making presentations. Free cupcakes will be provided by Cupcakes in Paradise.
